One of life’s guilty pleasures is listening to the rain on the roof while you cozy up to the fire and toast marshmallows. It’s magical and makes winter something to look forward to.

How? You’ll feel smug at how easy it is.

Get a set of skewers from Bunnings, a roll of duct tape, and some bamboo stakes. While you’re out, get yourself a bag or two of marshmallows. Tape a skewer on the end of a stake, and the hardware part is done. It doesn’t get easier than that.

When your fire has burned down to coals, pop a marshmallow on a skewer and toast it to taste.

Go classy with s’mores – sandwich warmed chocolate with toasted marshmallows squished between sweet cookies. Turn off Netflix, turn off the lights, light a few candles, and enjoy the southerly doing its best.
